Livestock

Please advise us as soon as possible if you want to increase or decrease the number of animals to be processed.
Withhold all feed for 24 hours prior to slaughter. When possible, move animals to a corral or area off pasture. This greatly reduces the amount of contamination at time of processing and results in less trimming and a cleaner product.
Do not restrict the animal's access to water.
We are not veterinarians or meat inspectors, but have extensive experience processing animals. Offal will be discarded at our discretion if there are obvious health or food safety issues.

Please advise us as soon as possible if you have a loss of 10% or more of your flock.
Withhold all feed from 7am the day before your scheduled processing (approximately 24hrs) . This greatly reduces the amount of fecal contamination on the bird at time of processing and results in less trimming.
Do not restrict the bird’s access to water.
Crates are provided free of charge. Please treat them kindly so we can continue to offer this for free.
Birds are sometimes condemned for health issues. This is at the discretion of the provincial meat inspector on site. We're happy to help troubleshoot flock health issues you may be having.
